Old Fashioned Spam
I don't know which upsets me more, receiving a spam message from email or the post office. So I was recently in Baltimore city for a night on the town. Now, later on that night we all stopped at Royal Farms, a local mini-mart gas station thingamabob, to get some grub. I paid for the food with my debit card, as I pretty much always do. Food was great; ride home was decent, just another night.
After two or so weeks passed I had pretty much for gotten about my excursion to the city until I checked my mailbox. Not my email box, the actual mail. It seems that Royal Farms had taken the liberty of sending me a postcard which displayed their need for employment positions.
Since I have only been to Royal Farms about 3 times max in my life I found it pretty unusual that their mailing was showing up in my Pennsylvania mailbox. Royal Farms is a Maryland based convenient store.
More specifically, it was addressed to my full name which led me to believe that they took my information from my debit card purchase. Before this rant gets any longer, boo down to Royal Farms, boo down to junk mail and don’t even get me started on being asked for my phone number when I'm trying to buy a stick of gum. Track this!
