Crazy Logo

This is a perfect example of what not to accomplish in a logo design. Okay so I came across this logo today, and I wish I never did. No offense to the company and/or organizations that produced the design, but what was the though process here?

I won’t elaborate much, but there are at least three unnecessary elements of this design. The block design serves no purpose but distraction. The abbreviated initials don’t really make sense as it is difficult to create a successful abbreviation out of two letters.

Not to mention that since the company name is already spelled out, there is no need for the initials in this application. The diamond shape almost works if only it was smaller and placed aside the text. Then possibly the block design could be retrofitted. This logo desperately needs some medical attention.
