I came across a great resource for learning document object model javascripting. The full title of this book is “DOM Scripting: Web Design with JavaScript and the Document Object Model”, by Jeremy Keith.
I plan to purchase this book soon in order to re-attempt to learn DOM scripting. Yes, re-attempt. I had previously purchased DHTML Utopia, which is published by SitePoint.
DHTML Utopia did not do the job for me. I might have needed to give it a little more chance, but my impression of this book was that it was a bit too technical. Also, there were too many examples and not enough lessons.
DOM Scripting by Jeremy Keith claims to be written for the XHTML / CSS web designer. The book's main goal is to provide a transition from XHTML and CSS to DOM and javascript.
This made me pretty excited to get this one on my bookshelf. Next level here I come, I hope…
